Who is required to perform Hajj?

Hajj is obligatory for every Muslim who meets the following criteria:

• Adult: Must be past the age of puberty
• Sane: Must be of sound mind
• Free: Must be a free person (not enslaved)
• Able-bodied: Physically capable of undertaking the journey
• Financially capable: Has enough wealth to cover the journey and support dependents

If someone is unable to perform Hajj due to illness, old age, or financial constraints, they are excused from this obligation.
