What is Hajj?

Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is mandatory for all able-bodied Muslims who can afford it at least once in their lifetime.

The pilgrimage takes place during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah (8th to 12th). Every year, millions of Muslims from around the world gather in Mecca to perform Hajj.
